1. Breast cancer

A leading cause of death among middle-aged women.
Early detection can reduce the mortality.
Microcalcification is one of the earliest signs of breast cancer.
Microcalcification detection is an important part in CAD system.
 
2. Mammography
A special kind of x-ray to visualize the internal structure of the breast.
Mammogram is result image of X-ray picture

Mammogram is captured by computer
Store, display, transmission
Chance image by the radiologist - zoom, chance dynamic range and contrast
 
4. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD)
Find potential cancer or abnormal area on mammogram using computer
The radiologist check especially closely in making area
